Do-Wa-Diddy
This was my first Do-Wa-Diddy. But it was the 28th annual. I can't believe that I hadn't heard of it before this year. Very well put together. Very easy to get to. Exit 95 from I-5, go east, take first left, and you are there. It's a hay field, so yes, it's bumpy, but no water truck, so the field is dry and you didn't have to worry about slipping and sliding. Some trees around to pitch your tent in the shade. But you would have to get there early for those spots. 4 wheelers, motor homes, trailers, are charged an extra parking fee, and are kept away from the tent area.
I arrived with 2 other friends at 1pm, and there was still plenty of parking, and tent space. We didn't camp, but we will next year. The cost is $60.00 per person, but here is what you get for that. Live music, biker games, all the beer, (Rainier on tap), water, & pop you can drink. Hot dogs, and the best roast pig I’ve eaten outside of Hawaii. Very tender, and flavorful. The roast pig dinner comes with potato salad, fruit salad, applesauce, baked beans, & dinner rolls. And you can have seconds. I didn’t see them run out of anything.
Now…….. There aren’t any vendors. No food vendors, no leather vendors, no “T” shirt vendors. No vendors. The drill team sells event “T” shirts to support the charities, but that’s it. So you don’t need to bring cash, for anything else.
Because we had to leave at 6:30pm, we didn’t get to see the evening bands, or the wet “T” shirt contest. But still got to see a fair amount of boobs being flashed for beads.
Over all we had a good time and do plan to go back next year & camp.
Now BRING ON RUN 21!!!!!

My hubby and I are thinking of opening a coffee shop/quick oil change bike shop (doing tires also, some retail and some accessories with a "biker" theme... making it a destination spot for starting and stopping rides and catering to ALL bikers.. in the Portland/Vancouver market, what is you bikers opinion of such a spot???????
