why do we get such a bad rap

It really pisses me off that people hold us in such low regard. we should show to the nation somehow how much we give to our communities. i mean how many fucking politicians hold rallies and charitable events to help anyone? If they did it would only be to help themselves. And yet we get a bad rap that we are criminals and bad people. Thats bullshit. Like I said we all have gathered for at leaste one charitable function. I know I have rode for many different causes and have raised a lot of money for good causes. And all those bastards raise money for elections and to me that should be the thing against the law, not hundreds of leather clad men and women out rideing for cancer, single moms, mentally challanged,....ect. what the fuck is wrong with this country. sorry I am venting this here but I just had a confrontation with a white collar about this and in his mind we are all useless and a discrace to this country. I told him to look back in time and the ones that fought for our freedom are some of the first ones to organize clubs , if it were not for them we might be in a different situation today. Of course he didnt get it. I asked him in a time of need will his corporate brothers have his back? or will they be too busy with themselves? I told him in a time of need i know my brothers have my back, and I have theirs. anyway thats all I got. Hope you all feel the same way.

I really don't think we get a bad rap as much anymore. I think it's fewer people who feel the way that one guy you had an incident with. I think in general over all our image has been more positive over the last decade. It's people with small minds who think like that guy and need to grow up. Some just have it in their heads and cannot be changed no matter what. 99% of bikers honest hard worker people who give 1000% back to their community. The one thing I have noticed, and I am guilty too, is most people in cages will not stop and help others who are broke down. I think we all assume everyone has cell phones and help on the way. Like I said, I am guilty of that as well when I am in a car. It's rare though that I am in a car. LOL. But I will NOT pass up a bike on the side of the road. I always stop for a fellow biker. Even if I'm late for work. Now I am trying to improve myself by helping type of vehicle broke down. Just my 2 cents.
