About Me
Graybeard rider.
Many years in the saddle, most of them on my old '66 FLH. After a cage wreck left me believing I would never ride again, I give my bike to my son who owns it now.
But some things you just can't live without so I purchased a new FXD a while back and have proven myself wrong.
At this point I pretty much live to ride mostly and to go fishin' when I can. The draw back is that I'm somewhat limited in how much distance I can walk, but I can ride 600 miles without a problem.
My Favorite Motorcycle
I loved my old FLH. I bought it as a basket while still riding Triumphs ( a very good bike for it's day) and built it myself over a couple of years making sure everything was just right. Must have done it right even as a learning project 'cause I rode it for near 20 years with only the occasional top end.
There was, in my mind, nothing like a shovelhead. I still believe shovels live forever.
But, it was getting to the point that I couldn't keep upany longer on 40 year old technology.
My new SuperGlide has a TC96 and after new mufflers, air cleaner, ECM, seat, handle bars, shocks and a chassis stabilizer it fits me well and handles like a dream. And I can ride in front again.

Tom,
Welcome to BikersCredo... I think it is very cool that you decided not to let your physical limitations keep you from what you love..
